Unique LSS Care

Do you want a rewarding and enjoyable job where you make a big difference? Unika LSS Care is now looking for an employee for a permanent position at Unika Kårlandagården in Hovmantorp.

Unika Kårlandagården serves individuals with permanent physical or mental disabilities that cause significant difficulties in daily life.

The facility has space for 6 users, and our methodological approach is based on the core principles of the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Here, we value joy in work, commitment, and a secure approach – we believe that a meaningful everyday life is created together. Influence and participation are the foundation of our work, and through this, we strengthen the individuals we support and provide the opportunity to live a life like everyone else.

About the role of Support Pedagogue

As a support pedagogue, you will provide support and services based on the residents' wishes, both in their homes and during leisure activities. You will contribute to ensuring that the resident has the opportunity for an active and meaningful existence. Furthermore, you must be able to identify each person's individual needs and conduct pedagogical work based on these. Since needs vary among users, no two days are alike, contributing to a challenging and exciting job.

You will work closely with the users alongside your colleagues and have significant responsibility for driving and developing the pedagogical work at the facility, in consultation with the operations manager. Some delegated health and medical care tasks are included in the work.

Requirements for the position of Support Pedagogue:
  • Graduation from the support pedagogue education (200 YH credits) or 60 ECTS credits within pedagogy.
  • Experience and knowledge of the target group: adults with LSS.
  • Computer literacy and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with documentation.
  • Good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy and low-affective handling.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex psychosocial behavioral problems.

Relevant education is a mandatory requirement for the position. We will only consider applications from candidates who meet this requirement.

Personal qualifications for the position

You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and able to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening manner, enjoying working together with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs. You are professional, present, attentive, and see every individual – and you are there when needed.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
